DENVER – As the holiday season approaches, several companies are gearing up for what is expected to be a busy shipping season.
UPS announced Tuesday it is hiring more than 1,300 people in the Denver metro area. The seasonal hiring will help support the anticipated increase in package volume that will begin in November and continue through January, the company said in a news release.
The company says the openings are a combination of seasonal and permanent jobs, and include:
- 175 package handlers
- 227 delivery and tractor-trailer drivers
- 900 driver-helpers
Tractor-trailer driver jobs start at $ $18.75 per hour, and pay for package handlers and driver-helpers start at $15.00 per hour.
Interested job seekers can easily apply for holiday season and permanent opportunities by visiting the company's website. Applicants must apply online.
