One missing Thornton boy found safe, another remains outstanding

THORNTON, Colo. — One of the young boys missing out of Thornton since Monday around 7 p.m. was found in Denver Tuesday and returned home, police said on Tuesday afternoon, but the second boy remains missing.

Police said 13-year-old Daniel Romero was found safe in Denver but that 12-year-old Ronnie Hernandez is still missing. Hernandez is described as 5 feet, 6 inched tall and 150 pounds. He has black hair and was wearing a black hoodie with white stripes and dark pants when he went missing. His picture was not provided.

Neither boy has shoes or a coat, police said.

They were last seen in the area of W. 84th Avenue and I-25 around 7 p.m. Monday.
