Two men died in separate incidents at Colorado mountain resorts over the weekend.

A 56-year-old man from Austin, Texas died after ski patrol responded to a serious incident Friday around 3:45 p.m. at Breckenridge Ski Resort, according to the resort. The man had been skiing on expert terrain on Peak 9 at the time of the incident. He was found unconscious and not breathing under snow in a creek bed, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

The man was transported to the Breckenridge Medical Center, where he died, according to the resort. The sheriff's office said the man had no visible signs of trauma.

“Breckenridge Ski Resort, Ski Patrol and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest’s family and friends,” said John Buhler, vice president and chief operating officer at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

The following day in Steamboat Springs, a 53-year-old man from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died in an incident.

The Routt County Coronor's Office said the man was identified as Frank Maimone. He died after falling into a tree well, according to the AP. Maimone was found near the Shadows Glades, which is expert terrain, of the Steamboat Resort. The coroner said there was no visible trauma, according to the AP.

No other information was available on either incident.
