Two runaways, 14 and 11 years old, found after they went missing out of Aurora

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora police are searching for two young girls who ran away from home Monday evening.

The two girls were identified as Amaya, 14, and Carla, 11. Police did not provide their last names. They were still missing as of 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Amaya is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and about 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red hoodie and black pants. She had her skateboard with her.

Carla is 5 feet, six inches and about 150 pounds with long brown-blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing black pants and a blue hoodie when she went missing. She had roller skates with her.

Both girls were last seen Monday evening in the area of E. Quincy Avenue and S. Chambers Road.

Police said neither of them have their medications and they were not dressed for cold weather. The department is asking for the public's assistance finding them.
