NEBRASKA — Two children, ages 7 and 4, were found safe Monday after they were abducted out of Tekamah, Nebraska, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

NSP said 7-year-old Marco De La Garza and 4-year-old Isaac De La Garza were located in Kansas and were in the process of being united with their parents.

They were abducted from the city of Tekamah, which is in far east Nebraska. Authorities believed the children were with their step-grandfather Tanner Joel Leichleiter, 30. Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office deputies found Leichleiter's white 2009 Ford Expedition about 11 a.m. Monday and took Leichleiter into custody.

An Amber Alert was issued in Nebraska and Kansas.
