BOULDER, Colo. — After determining that Boulder Creek’s water flow had slowed, officials in Boulder County have rescinded the tubing ban.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement Monday around 4 p.m., saying the water flow rate had slowed to safe levels.

In talks with officials in Lyons, Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle said he learned that the water flow in the North Saint Vrain Creek, South Saint Vrain Creek and the Saint Vrain River had also slowed down significantly. The tubing ban in those waterways have also been rescinded.

While these bans are no longer in place, the sheriff’s office encourages tubers to always use caution on the rivers and wear a life jacket.
