DENVER -- The latest and greatest gaming console from Nintendo was just released Friday, but getting your hands on one in Denver is proving difficult.
Every retailer Denver7 contacted -- Best Buy, Walmart, Target and Game Stop -- was out of stock of the elusive Nintendo Switch. In fact, many answered the phone stating that they were indeed sold out.
The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid game machine that works as both a console at home and a tablet on the go. It retails for $299.
If you just have to have one, there are options out there. A check of Craigslist found several of the consoles for sale, but you are going to pay a premium. The lowest asking price we saw was around $400.
Your best bet is to keep checking the available inventory at a retailer’s website. Game Stop told us that customers can visit any Denver-area store and order one online, but it won’t be shipped until April 16.
