Trump vs. NFL, Denver Startup Week and more: 5 Things to Know for Monday, Sept. 25

DENVER – Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Monday, Sept. 25.

1. Heath care showdown continues
Republicans in Congress are making some changes to the Graham-Cassidy health bill to try to win over more senators and get the bill passed this week. A number of senators, including Sen John McCain, have said they won't support the bill.

2. Pres. Trump criticizes NFL players again
The president posted a series of tweets again this morning criticizing players who protest during the National Anthem. "The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. NFL must respect this!," Trump wrote.

3. Denver Startup Week kicks off
The 6th annual Denver Startup Week starts today with hundreds of events geared toward entrepreneurs. Startup Week runs through Friday. Click here for more info.

4. Overnight I-25 repairs
On Monday and Tuesday, CDOT crews will closes several lanes of I-25 at Orchard Road to repair part of the road damaged during a fuel tanker fire in May. Closures will begin at 11 p.m. and be wrapped up by 5:30 a.m.

5. Another cool, wet day
Monday will bring more fall-like conditions, with temperatures only making it into the 50s. Expect showers in the Denver metro and some snow in the mountains.
