Trump-Pence campaign announces Colorado leadership team

DENVER, Colo. – A big announcement from the Trump-Pence campaign Monday. They announced who is leading their campaign in Colorado.

“The team we have assembled in Colorado will help bring victory to the Trump campaign in November. I am confident that every staff member will help spread Mr. Trump’s message of change throughout the state,” said Patrick Davis, Colorado’s State Director.

Jefferson Thomas will serve as political director for the Trump for Colorado 2016 campaign. Thomas recently served as political director for the Colorado Republican Committee and ran a campaign in Ohio prior to that.

Lydia Blaha will serve as a communications director. Blaha was a deputy campaign manager for U.S. Senate race in 2016 and a volunteer in a 2012 U.S. Congressional race in 2012.

Robert Blaha will serve as the chairman for the Colorado campaign. Blaha was recently a candidate for U.S. Senate in 2016. He is a nationally recognized expert in analyzing leadership and business processes to streamline organizations, cut costs and increase productivity.

Dede Laugesen and Melissa Simpson will both serve as coalitions directors for the campaign’s Colorado team. Laugesen, owner of Windhover Media, is a communications specialist and political consultant.

Simpson has 14 years of political experience working for the legislative staff in the Colorado House of Representatives and a political appointee in the George W. Bush administration.

The final member of the team, Tom Lucero, will serve as the Hispanic outreach coordinator. Lucero is currently an entrepreneur and small business owner, currently consulting with software and database companies on how to best grow their market share.

Lucero has also served as an elected official. He served 12 years on the University of Colorado’s Board of Regents, where he directed his attention to creating intellectual diversity and controlling rising tuition.
