DENVER – Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017. 

1. Trump poised to upend decades of U.S. policy
The president is forging ahead with plans to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital despite intense Arab, Muslim and European opposition.

2. TIME Person of the Year
TIME magazine has named "The Silence Breakers" -- women who spoke out about sexual harassment and assault this year -- as the 2017 'Person of the Year.' President Donald Trump was the runner-up.

3. Colorado sending firefighters to California
Twenty-five fire engines from the Rocky Mountain region will be heading to California to help with the wildfire response. Most of those engines will be from Colorado; West Metro Fire says it's sending four firefighters and an engine.

4. Thornton greenlights new TopGolf location
TopGolf is trying again to set up shop in Thornton, this time at a different location. The city council on Tuesday gave the green light to a proposal near I-25 and 160th Avenue, three miles north of the previously proposed location.

5. Snow possible early Thursday
A minor cold front will manage to slip across Colorado on Wednesday, keeping conditions chilly, but also bringing a few snow flurries to Denver and the northeast plains Thursday morning. The mountains east of the Continental Divide might pick up a couple inches of snow, but it will be spotty.
