BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Jim Turner's truck is barely drivable after he says seven different drivers have hit it while it was parked out front of his house on busy Midway Boulevard near 3rd Avenue in Broomfield.

Denver7 first reported on the issue back in 2015, and Turner said it's still happening.

"[Police] have my phone number, because its been hit so many times," he said. "That door, the front fender, behind the front door, the rear light, the mirror,"

The latest crash happened Monday, and Turner's surveillance cameras caught the whole thing.

"It was actually scary watching this thing again," he said.

In the video, you can see a small sedan slam into the back of his truck. The impact causes both cars to crash into another SUV parked out front. And then seconds later, the driver jumps out in a panic.

Turner said the woman is an Uber driver and admitted to being on her phone at the time of the crash.

Broomfield police confirmed the accident happened Monday around 9:45 p.m., and officers cited the driver with careless driving.

Turner believes the crashes are being caused by either distracted drivers or drivers going over the posted speed limit of 30 MPH.

"People not paying attention," he explained. "I would like a flashing light put up, a sign with a flashing light - anything."

Turner wants to see something done, and said there is plenty of room to widen the road and preserve parking in front of his house.

"Something needs to be done before somebody really does get seriously hurt," he said.

Broomfield police said they are stepping up enforcement in the area.

Denver7 also made the city traffic engineer aware of the problem back in 2015. No one from the city was available for comment due to the holiday.
