A judge has ruled that the trial for attempted murder suspect Dynel Lane will happen in Boulder County, according to The Denver Post.
Lane is also charged with unlawful termination of a pregnancy and felony assault for an attack on Michelle Wilkins in March.
Defense attorneys have argued that Lane couldn’t receive a fair trial in Boulder because of the case’s reputation. Police say Lane cut Wilkins’ baby out of her body. The baby didn’t live.
Wilkins recounted the incident on The Dr. Phil Show. Her attack received national news media attention.
Lane is in jail in Boulder County. Her trial is expected to start in February.
