Toddler, 3, killed in Commerce City shooting, police say

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – A 3-year-old toddler was found dead after a shooting in Commerce City Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Commerce City Police responded to a home in the 7800 block of Jasmine Drive at around 3:03 p.m. after a report of a gunshot in the area.

Once at the scene, police officers found the deceased 3-year-old boy and said he had gunshot wounds.

Two other children were also at the home but appeared to be unharmed.

The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Commerce City Police Department Investigations Unit.

No other information about the shooting was immediately available.
