Who knew owning a tiny home would make you an instant celebrity?
One Colorado tiny home owner found out quite by surprise.
"I'm totally in love with the lifestyle," said Anita. Denver7 is not using her full name to protect her privacy.
Anita told Denver7 Anchor Theresa Marchetta she started researching tiny houses more than seven years ago.
Her primary focus at that time was to reduce her environmental footprint, but she also admits they houses are pretty cute.
"It's a curiosity," Anita said.
However, when she finally went all the way and purchased her own tiny house, she said she had no idea how much of a curiosity she would become.
"People will look in the windows, knock on the door, ask for tours," Anita said.
She said she even made plans with one family to meet them at another time. When they arrived for their tour, their excited, young daughter was wearing fairy wings.
"This was a surprise. Funny stories! Just walking out and people would be taking pictures or waiting for me," Anita said.
