Ellicott School District #22 cancelled classes on Monday due to what they called a "threat of significant violence."
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirmed all campuses are closed Monday based on a threat posted on social media.
District officials said they take this type of threat very seriously.
"We are currently investigating this with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office," district officials said on Facebook.
Officials said the school day would be made up at a later date. The date has yet to be determined.
