Thornton officer on motorcycle seriously injured in crash

THORNTON, Colo. — A Thornton officer on a motorcycle was seriously injured in a crash Monday.

It happened at 3:34 p.m. in the 12600 block of N. Washington Street.

Police said a 2020 Subaru was involved in the crash. The driver in the second vehicle was not injured.

The 29-year-old officer was transported to Saint Anthony's Hospital with serious injuries. Police said the officer’s injuries are non-life threatening.

Police have not released any other details as to how the crash occurred, but believe the motorcycle was traveling westbound on 126th Avenue and the Subaru was northbound on Washington Street when the two collided.

The crash remains under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol.
