The saga of a stuffed bunny was left at a Colorado trailhead appears to be over

A stuffed animal found on a leaf-peeping excursion by a member of Denver7’s photography group on Facebook has been returned.

Laura, a mom from Aurora, found a stuffed rabbit at the Abyss Trail trailhead off of Guanella Pass on a soggy Tuesday morning. She shared photos of the stuffed animal thinking it may have been lost by a child during a family fall color tour.

During the grassroots effort to find the owner, Laura was told the stuffed animal was part of a tribute to a pet that had died. She returned the bunny to the trailhead where it was found.
