1. The 40th running of the Bolder BOULDER
This year’s BolderBOULDER and the Memorial Day Tribute that follows are expected to be one of the biggest and boldest ever. Denver7 will livestream the race online and on Facebook Live. 

2. Arrest made in April Lakewood arsons

Police have arrested Earnest Sunday Maynes, 37, on more than a dozen charges, including arson and animal cruelty, in connection with a string of fires set in late April. One of the fires lit at a barn killed six horses.

3. Man can face trial, judge rules

A judge has ruled that David Strunk’s trial can move forward. He’s accused in the November 2016 death of 50-year-old Duane Gardner. His attorney had argued he was incompetent to stand trial.

4. Swim suits cost school state championship

The Colorado High School Activities Association ruled that Discovery Canyon High School’s boy’s swimming and diving team wore suits with too large of a logo, costing them their state championship.

5. Nice early Monday, thunderstorms possible by the afternoon
Expect partly sunny skies in the morning, with 50s before sunrise, warming into the 60s by race time and mid 70s by late morning. Thunderstorms will develop in the foothills by early afternoon and move across the I-25 Corridor onto the eastern plains by mid-afternoon
