Teen killed in crash on I-70 near Deer Trail

DEER TRAIL, Colo. – An 18-year-old man was killed in a rollover wreck on Interstate 70 east of Denver on Sunday morning, officials said.

The crash happened about 6:30 a.m., south of Deer Trail, in the westbound lane of the highway, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Five people were inside the vehicle, all ranging from 15-18 years old. The victim who died was partially ejected.

The other four teenagers in the vehicle were taken to a hospital with minor-to-moderate injuries, officials said. Authorities were still investigating the crash Sunday afternoon.
