DENVER – Police in Denver have arrested two teens in connection with the shooting death of an RTD passenger at a light rail station early Tuesday.

Police arrested Ever Valles on first-degree murder charges in Federal Heights Wednesday. Nathan Valdez, 19, was arrested Friday night, also on first-degree murder charges.

Police say the two teens shot and killed Tim Cruz, 32, after robbing the victim at the Sheridan Station at Sheridan Boulevard and 10th Avenue.

An unidentified person led police to Valles. The witness recognized the suspect's clothing from surveillance video images released after the murder.

The teen was picked up in Federal Heights on unrelated parole violations. Valles told police that Nathan Valdez was the trigger man.

Valles and Valdez were booked into the Denver County Jail.
