BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. – A 18-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening people with a gun and eluding sheriff deputies across Boulder County on Friday night, authorities said.
Christian Tull faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, felony menacing, felony vehicular eluding, reckless endangerment and traffic violations, according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were initially dispatched about 6:15 p.m. to a home in Lyons, where there was a report of an 18-year-old who had taken a variety of drugs and was acting erratically.
About an hour later, deputies responded to a report of felony menacing near North Foothills Parkway and Lefthand Canyon Drive, where a man reportedly threatened another motorist with a gun.
Deputies learned that the man who was acting erratically at the home in Lyons was the same man involved in the menacing case. Shortly before 10 p.m., Boulder police responded to a menacing report near Broadway and Pearl streets, where a man in a tan sedan had reportedly pointed a gun at people walking across a street.
Deputies received a report of the vehicle heading north out of Boulder and they caught up to the vehicle in Longmont, where they used stop sticks to deflate the vehicle's tires.
Tull was driving the vehicle and surrendered to deputies.
The sheriff's office was still investigating the incident Saturday.
