DENVER — Colorado residents hoping to grab a new state driver’s license will have to wait.
Shortly before noon Monday, the Colorado Department of Revenue said its offices are unable to issue driver licenses, instruction permits and identification cards due to technical issues.
Online services are also unavailable. However, the system came back online Monday evening.
According to a release, the department said the problem was identified as a vendor issue, specific to the cameras and the ability to take photos for licenses, IDs and permits.
DMV offices across the state should be back open Tuesday.
