A United flight from Houston to Denver had to abort its takeoff Monday morning.
The pilot of United flight 1594 saw something suspicious during takeoff and applied the brakes, blowing at least two tires, according to a spokesperson at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
United Airlines told KTRK-TV there was a mechanical issue, but they did not release any other details.
Portable stairs were brought out to deplane the 164 passengers and 6 crewmembers. They are being transferred to another plane, officials said.
No one was injured.
