ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- A suspicious package of chocolates in the parking lot of the Adams County Courthouse forced the response of bomb squad teammates Monday afternoon.
Authorities say the suspicious package didn't force the evacuation of the courthouse due to its position at the far end of the parking lot.
Police did cordon off the area out of an abundance of caution. The box later had been identified as a box of chocolates that had been left behind.
Another suspicious package found nearby at a K-Mart distribution center was found to be refuse.
