BOULDER – A bag containing utility company equipment prompted a bomb squad response at CU Boulder Sunday night.
Police responded to a fire alarm at the Earth Sciences building shortly before 10 p.m. and spotted a bag outside the building that had wires sticking out.
Officers called in the bomb squad, which used a robot to inspect the bag.
The bomb squad determined the bag belonged to a utility company and held equipment used to perform tests.
The bag appeared to have been left behind before last week’s snowstorm. It was just discovered Sunday as the snow melted.
