Aurora shooting suspect identified by police

Aurora Police have identified the man they suspect is responsible for leaving 1 person dead and another injured during an early morning shooting in the city of Aurora.

Lloyd Rickey Henderson, 36, who also goes by the name of "Ricky" was involved in an altercation at the Canterra at Fitzsimons Apartment complex, west of Interstate 225 and south of East Parkview Drive on Sept. 27. 

Officers found a man, identified as Corey Clemons, in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died at University Hospital, according to a press release from the Aurora Police Department.

An hour and a half later a man called 911 saying he was shot. Officers found him about a mile north of the Potomac Way scene. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, according the Aurora Police.

At about 10 a.m., Aurora Police said both me were shot in the same incident at the Canterra at Fitzsimons Apartment complex. They weren't sure why the second victim left or why he waited to call 911.

Henderson’s whereabouts are unknown, though he is believed to still be in the Aurora/Denver metro area.

Henderson now has a warrant out for his arrest involving first-degree murder.
