GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. — The Sunrise Court Fire in Glenwood Springs is completely contained, as of Friday morning.

On Thursday at 7 a.m., the Glenwood Springs Fire Department confirmed that fire was entirely contained. Several homes were threatened, but none were lost, the department said.

Firefighters will stay around the site to take care of hot spots.

Prehem Ranch Road, which is below the burn area, will stay close due to the possibility of falling rocks.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire was reported on Wednesday around 2:40 p.m. between Four Mile Ranch and Prehem Ranch Road, according to the department. Several residents were evacuated from their homes. The fire was estimated to be between 15 and 20 acres.
