COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A powerful storm dumped rain and hail on parts of Colorado Springs, flooding some downtown streets Monday afternoon.
The area remains on a flash flood warning until 3:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department tweeted pictures showing flooding and mounds of hail on East Bijou Street and North Logan Avenue.
Up to two inches of rain has already fallen. The thunderstorm is weakening, and flash flooding will continue due to the heavier rain that fell earlier, according to the National Weather Service.
There have been no reports of injuries at this time, however authorities announced they attempted water rescues.
