Some people who want to donate blood after the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando are being turned away.
Some gay and bisexual men will not be able to donate blood.
In December, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration lifted a lifetime ban. Currently, gay and bisexual men can only donate blood if they have not had sexual contact with another man for at least 12 months.
People who would like to donate in honor of the Orlando shooting victims may make an appointment at any of Bonfils' seven community donor centersand mention group #7300 or mention the Orlando Memorial Drive.
Appointments can be made online or by calling 303.363.2300.
