BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Ski patrol had to use ropes to rescue skiers and snowboarders from a ski lift at Breckenridge Ski Resort after a power outage caused the lift to stop moving on Saturday.
The resort said it experienced a power outage a little before 12:30 p.m. that affected the Quicksilver SuperChair, which seats six people to a chair.
At about 1:20 p.m, Breckenridge Ski Patrol began using ropes to evacuate skiers from the lift and about half an hour later, the resort was able to get the lift back up and running to continue taking people off the lift.
Everyone was off the lift by about 2:22 p.m., the resort said.
There were no reports of injuries.
