A sinkhole opened in the ground near Craig Hospital in Englewood on Monday.
South Clarkson Street had been closed near East Hampden Avenue, police said.
By 10 p.m., crews repaired the hole.
The hole was about 10 feet long, 6 feet wide and 6 feet deep.
Englewood Waste Water Treatment Plant worked throughout the day to repair the sinkhole.
Craig Hospital and Swedish Medical Center were not impacted by the sinkhole or the street closure.
