DENVER -- A road rage incident spiraled into a shooting on one of the busiest stretches of highways in Colorado Monday afternoon.

Police are looking for a motorcyclist who apparently fired his gun at another driver while traveling on Interstate 25 coming from 6th Avenue.

Police say the male motorcyclist, riding aggressively, was northbound on I-25 when he opened fire at another vehicle.

A woman was behind the wheel of the car targeted by the motorcyclist. No injuries were reported.

Police scanner recordings, published online by Broadcastify, captured the incident as it unfolded.

"Harassment in progress. A motorcycle rider is harassing and brake-checking the RP (reporting party),” said the officer. "I need cars to break for I-25 and 6th Avenue. Apparently, the motorcyclist has a gun and shot at the RP."

Unfortunately, officers weren’t able to catch up with the motorcyclist and investigators are still working to confirm the details.

The motorcyclist had on an orange backpack and a grey and black helmet. He was riding a grey motorcycle.
