UPDATE | Authorities located a van and its driver following a report that the driver tried to kidnap juveniles in unincorporated Jefferson County on Friday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
"Thanks to tips from the community the van and driver have been located and identified," the sheriff's office tweeted Sunday. They are looking into whether a crime was committed or not, the tweet read.
LITTLETON, Colo. – Authorities are searching for the driver of a van accused of trying to kidnap juveniles in Jefferson County on Friday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened about 5:30 p.m. in the 8600 block of West Progress Place. The driver pulled up in a white work van and approached a group of children on the street, the sheriff's office said.
One child, a 9-year-old, told investigators that the driver told the children to "get in the van" and then drove away.
The driver was described as a Hispanic man, about 40-45 years old, with dark hair. He was wearing a blue polo shirt, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities on Sunday released a picture of the white van, taken from a neighbor's Ring doorbell camera.

The van had a "'Pepsi' like logo sticker" on it, but it was unclear what the sticker said, according to the sheriff's office. The van appeared to be a Ford cargo van, with black trim running along the length of the driver's side. The van also had at least one yellow ladder and a dent on the driver's side bumper. The front hubcap on the driver's side appeared be missing.
