DENVER – Several Colorado hotels and resorts have been named among the top in their industry by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine.

Three Colorado resorts were named as among the top-10 best resorts in the U.S. in the annual Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards.

The C Lazy U Ranch in Granby took home No. 9 on the list; Vail’s Sonnenalp resort was No. 4 on the list and the Gateway Canyons Resort in Gateway took home No. 3 on the list. The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming took home the top spot on the list.

But Colorado nearly swept the Reader’s Choice Awards for top hotels in the American West, taking home nine of the top-10 spots.

Denver’s Hotel Teatro topped the list, followed by the ART, a hotel, in Denver. The Wort Hotel in Jackson, Wyoming took home the No. 3 spot, but Colorado hotels rounded out the rest of the list.

The Oxford Hotel in Denver came in at No. 4, followed by The Arrabelle at Vail Square, The Little Nell in Aspen, Lumiere Telluride, Telluride’s Madeline Hotel & Residences, the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek and Aspen’s Hotel Jerome.

Conde Nast Traveler even made a list of the top 10 resorts in Colorado.

The Westin Denver International Airport also recently earned top marks from the Engineering News-Record, Travel Weekly and Smart Meetings Magazine.

So next time you’re thinking about getting away to a top hotel or resort, know that many of the nation’s best are just around the corner, no matter where you are in Colorado.
