DENVER — Elmo, Big Bird and the rest of the “Sesame Street” gang will be coming to the Mile High City later this year.
The Sesame Street Muppets are hitting the road to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary, hosting free festivals in cities across the country, including Denver.
Details are forthcoming but Sesame Workshop said the Denver event will take place on Saturday, July 20.
In addition to holding a free family-friendly festival with live performances and activities, the “Sesame Street” TV production crew also will be in town to film a segment about what kids love about their community, to be a part of the show’s 50th season.
The 50th season of “Sesame Street” kicks off in November with a primetime special on HBO.
