DENVER – Popular beauty products retailer Sephora plans to open a new location at Denver Pavilions on the 16th Street Mall later this year.

The new 5,648-square-foot store will be located on the first floor of the open-air shopping center, near Maggiano’s Little Italy. The store will feature 17,000 products from 250 brands, ranging from makeup and skin care to hair care and perfume.

This will be Sephora’s sixth location in Colorado but its first in downtown Denver. The company currently has locations at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Northfield Stapleton.

Sephora is one of several major retailers with new locations on the 16th Street Mall. Uniqlo just opened at Denver Pavilions last fall and plans are in the works for a Target store at 16th and California.

“Downtown Denver is on a roll and people are paying attention. By choosing the 16th Street Mall for a new location for its popular international brand, Sephora is sending a clear message that it is a place where national retailers can be successful,” said Tami Door, president and CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership. “Recent additions to Downtown Denver’s retail mix, including household names like Sephora, Target and Uniqlo, show that the center city is top of mind for key national retailers whose products and services meet the needs of Downtown’s growing residential and employee population, and we expect this trend to continue.

The new Sephora store is scheduled to open in the summer.
