Today's combination of strong winds, low humidity and high temperatures create the perfect combination for a dangerous wildfire. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Here's what you need to know.
2. Early house fire ignites questions about residents
North Metro Fire responded to a house in Adams County that was fully engulfed in flames Sunday evening. Between strong winds, an unstable structure and the blaze, firefighters couldn't enter the home to search for occupants. As the sun rose Monday morning, they started that search.
3. Dockless scooters and bikes will soon have parking areas
As these new modes of transportation boom in Denver, the city is rushing to keep up with the companies launching the scooters and bikes. To help keep the program orderly, Denver Public Works is creating painted designated parking areas at transit and bus stops.
4. RIP Sen. John McCain
The Arizona Republican and veteran passed away Saturday of brain cancer. Leaders around the United States, including President Trump and Former President Obama, responded publicly to his death. The White House raised flags to full-staff on Monday morning after leaving them at half-staff over the weekend.
