Schools near South Federal Boulevard and West Dartmouth Avenue were put on lockdown Wednesday after a report of a threat to College View Elementary.
Denver Public Schools said Summit Academy, Southwest Early College and DSST: College View were on lockdown and all the other schools in District 4 were on lockout while Denver Police investigated.
"...when there is a lockdown at a nearby school/campus, all other schools are placed on lockout for safety precautions," DPS said.
A little before 12:30 p.m., police said they had cleared the building and the threat was unfounded.

During a lockdown, all activities stop, classroom doors are locked and students and staff are told to get down and stay quiet, and out of sight. During a lockout, no one is allowed in or out but activities inside the school continue as usual.
Colorado Heights University is surrounded by police officers. @DenverPolice says they are "clearing a school."
