DENVER — Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden will each receive a few more delegates from Colorado after Sen. Elizabeth Warren withdrew from the race for president on Thursday.

Due to Democratic Party rules, Warren is no longer eligible for any of the statewide delegates previously allotted to her, though she will still receive delegates from the congressional districts where she met the viability threshold. Click here for an explanation of how the party allocates delegates.

That brings Warren's total down from 13 delegates to eight.

Warren’s five statewide delegates will be redistributed to Sanders and Biden. Sanders, who came in first place in Colorado’s Democratic primary on Tuesday, will pick up two additional statewide delegates and Biden will get three.

Here’s the updated breakdown by candidate:

  • Bernie Sanders: 13 statewide + 16 from districts = 29 delegates (up from 27)
  • Joe Biden: 10 statewide + 10 from districts = 20 delegates (up from 17)
  • Michael Bloomberg: 0 statewide + 10 from districts = 10 delegates
  • Elizabeth Warren: 0 statewide + 8 from districts = 8 delegates (down from 13)

Primary results and delegate allocation could change more in the coming days, as there are still seven days remaining for the ballot curing process and for military and overseas ballots to be received in Colorado.
