DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. – Students at Rock Canyon High School burned the American flag on school property in an apparent anti-Trump protest.
The images being shared on social media show the students holding a burning flag in the parking lot of the Douglas County school.
School officials said they are working with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, but did not say if any action will be taken. Flag burning is protected free speech.
The school was notified of the incident immediately after it occurred.
Student protests have erupted all over the country since Donald Trump clinched the election. Several students in Boulder and Denver walked out of classes in protest Wednesday.
