ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Rescue crews, aided by a helicopter, have recovered the body of a Colorado man who died in a weekend mountain climbing accident.
Pitkin County officials say 35-year-old Jeremy Shull of Parker fell 200 feet (61 meters) Sunday morning while ascending Capitol Peak west of Aspen, in central Colorado.
Weather conditions delayed the recovery of his body until Wednesday.
Volunteers with Mountain Rescue Aspen told county officials it was one of their most difficult recoveries, mostly because of the depth and steepness of the crevasse
Another Parker resident, 25-year-old Jake Lord, died after a fall on Capitol Peak in July.
