The man suspected of killing three people and shooting several others formally learned of the charges against him Wednesday. In the court room, Robert Dear shouted almost 20 times, even interrupting his own attorney.
He mentioned "the truth" often and applauded prosecutors for trying to share it.
Dear also referred to his mental health, and Aurora theater gunman, who will spend his life in prison. The Aurora shooter's attorney is also representing Dear.
In total, 179 felony charges were filed against the suspect.
Three people, including an officer, died in the shooting on Nov. 27.
