ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. – Rangers at Rocky Mountain National Park have found the body believed to be that of a hiker who went missing on Longs Peak in October, the park said Friday in a news release.

Rangers who were patrolling The Trough area of the mountain on Saturday found a glove matching the brand that Ryan Albert, 30, was believed to be wearing. Crews on Thursday found what they believed to be Albert's body in the same area, buried in deep snow at about 12,300 feet, according to the park.

A helicopter recovered the body on Friday morning and took it to the Boulder County Coroner's Office, which will release a positive identification after an autopsy.

Albert, 30, of Marlton, N.J., was reported missing by family member in early October after he was overdue from a hiking trip in the Longs Peak area. He was last seen Oct. 4 by another park visitor in the area of Granite Pass, heading toward The Keyhole on Longs Peak.

On that same day, extreme weather conditions started up, including low visibility and fog, thunderstorms and snow showers and freezing temperatures. Crews searched for Albert over the next few weeks before suspending the search in November for the rest of fall and winter.
