DURANGO, Colo. — A 70-year-old Dallas man died after apparently colliding with a tree at Purgatory Resort near Durango Saturday.
The skier was going down Vincent's, an intermediate run, when the collision occurred, according to a release from the southwestern Colorado ski resort.
Before ski patrol's arrival on-scene, a resort guest had initiated CPR to the man. He was were airlifted to a Durango hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The La Plata County Coroner will release the victim's identity at a later time.
Saturday's incident marks the state's fourth ski-related death in the past week.
