GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. – All high schools in the Roaring Fork School District were closed Thursday and others were in lockout status due to a possible threat of violence.
A lockout means all doors are locked and extra law enforcement officers are on campus.
A district spokesperson said it received an anonymous tip that an 18-year-old senior student had made a threat of violence. Officials said they weren't able to confirm the threat.
As a result, all high schools in the district were closed and elementary and middle schools were in lockout.
Details on the nature of the alleged threat weren’t immediately available. Police are investigating.
