Thornton Police say a woman with a medical condition caused multiple crashes in Thornton and Northglenn Monday afternoon and then carjacked one of the crash victims.
The driver crashed into four or five cars in the area of Washington Street and East 104th Avenue, according to Matt Barnes with the Thornton Police Department.
At that point, the woman having the medical issue got out of her car and carjacked one of the drivers involved in the crashes, Barnes said.
The woman took off in the stolen vehicle and crashed into at least nine other cars and trucks near Washington and Malley Drive before being taken into custody, Barnes confirmed.

"It came completely out of nowhere. I was dead stopped at the stoplight," crash victim Kelsie Parker told Denver7 Reporter Russell Haythorn.
"I was on my way home from the grocery store with my daughter," said victim Marsa Horgan. "I just thank God that she wasn't in the back seat."
