LITTLETON, Colo. – One of two people shot at a Littleton home earlier this week has died.

Police said Friday morning that a female victim died at the hospital. The other victim, a male, was treated and released the same day of the shooting.

Police responded to a home in the 6000 block of South Broadway at about 6:30 a.m. on July 17 and found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. Police have not released the names of either victim.

The suspect, Timothy Alex Shelton, 22, was taken into custody on two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Police said Shelton is a resident of the home. His relationship to the victims is unclear and police have not said what led to the shooting.
