LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A man is in police custody after a woman was found fatally stabbed in Lakewood Wednesday morning.
Lakewood police said they responded to a home in the 2500 block of South Cody Way at about 11:19 a.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing.
Responding officers found a 49-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds, police said. The woman, identified as Keli Jackson, was declared dead at the scene.
Police said a suspect, Stephen Douglas DeRossett, 52, was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Police have not released any further details about the incident.
