Deputies are conducting a mysterious death investigation in Douglas County.
They were called to Highway 67 and Rampart Range Road Tuesday morning just before 8.
Hunters stumbled across a body and called 911. Deputies began examining the scene but they weren't able to determine if the remains belong to a human or animal.
The body has been weathered.
Police say they'd be shocked if an answer came back Tuesday.
