DENVER – Police have canceled a Medina Alert for a Winnebago involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Denver on Wednesday afternoon.
The 1985 beige/tan vehicle struck a pedestrian at West Jewell Avenue and South Tejon Street about 12:30 p.m, according to a Medina Alert sent out by Denver police. The Winnebago had a temporary Colorado license plate: 1612796.
The vehicle, which was last seen traveling east on Jewell Avenue, was found sometime before 8:30 p.m. in the area of Lipan St. and Mississippi Ave. Officials said two people were contacted, adding no one had been arrested in connection with the deadly hit-and-run.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
